Directors: John Wilson and Florentina Mocanu-Schendel

Synopsis: Described by the author as: “… one of the most macabre, wrathful works in all of world literature,” (Britannica.com) The Ghost Sonata conveys the eagerness of a young student for exceptional knowledge and his idealization of all the mysterious occupants of the house. As the student is drawn deeper into the house, he gains access to some universal truths, such as that one must suffer to gain salvation, that hell is not a far-away place, and that the line between love and betrayal is not always clearly drawn.
