Memorial for Professor Jack Byers

A Tribute to Honor the life and career of Professor Jack A. Byers will be held on the stage of the Little Theatre in the Creative Arts All who wish to celebrate his life, share stories, memories and raise a glass to toast how he touched so many of us along the way, are welcome to attend. Jack served as Professor, Department Chair, Associate Dean and Acting Dean in the Department of Theatre Arts and the College of Creative Arts, respectively at San Francisco State University for 26 years (1966-92). He designed extensively for theatre and universities and was a noted director of numerous children’s plays. As a designer, he was especially noted for his expertise in costuming for the Elizabethan stage. He was a dear and generous man, a talented designer and a true gentleman.
