Synopsis
Two playwrights, two evil kings, two bad storms, two near-death experiences, and two heart-breaking family reunions: Shakespeare's Pericles, Prince of Tyre. One of his last plays, Pericles was begun by another playwright, but Shakespeare wrote the last three acts and included scenes both hilarious and deeply moving. The title character journeys in search of a wife, finds one, loses her, and regains her in the end. One of his most emotionally compelling works, Pericles is Shakespeare's love song to the ideas of family and home.
