Kim Schwartz is currently the Director of the School of Theatre & Dance and the technical direction instructor for the School. Previously, she taught in the Conservatory of Theatre Arts & Film at Purchase College, SUNY. Before that, she was part of the Technical Department team at the Metropolitan Opera, where she also worked as a liaison with companies like American Ballet Theatre, Kirov Opera and Kirov Ballet during their events at the Met. She has freelanced as a technical consultant, CAD draftsman and technical director in Los Angeles, New York City and the SF Bay Area. She was an ETCP certified rigger in Theatrical Rigging for 10 years.
