Memories
by Ben Zingos
Directed by Ely Sonny Orquiza
After moving back home to Southern California, Aaron, a young novelist, meets Archie, a 12-year-old boy who lives next door with his father, and they bond over a shared love of the Los Angeles Lakers. As Archie spends more time with him, Aaron notices tell-tale signs of abuse that bring him face to face with his own childhood trauma. Set against the backdrop of the Lakers’ 2010 championship season, Memories is a character drama that explores the way men scar boys with their actions, and how those boys heal.
