Students have an opportunity to develop internships at local theatres and dance companies within the San Francisco Bay Area. With faculty advisement and off-campus supervision, these internship experiences give students a foothold in the profession before they graduate. In the past our students have held these positions at leading regional companies including A.C.T., Berkeley Repertory Theatre, Magic Theatre, Marin Theatre Company, and ODC just to name a few.

If you're Performing Arts Organization interested in offering internships to SF State students, please contact the School of Theatre & Dance by email at thtrdnc@sfsu.edu.

The Players Club at SF State is a student-run organization representing SF State Theatre students. The Players Club organizes club events and activities for students throughout the year. Every SF State Theatre Arts student is automatically a member of Players Club—no fees or sign-ups required! Officers are elected annually by their fellow students.

The Players Club at SF State is responsible for a whole host of activities. Some recurring favorites include the Welcome Back BBQ, Shotgun Play Festival, The Rocky Horror Picture Show Theme Night, Golden Burritos, and the annual Players Club Show. Follow us on social media for updates on events and DM us with any of your questions or comments. We're always looking for fresh ideas and new ways to make the Theatre Arts program even more awesome!
