Martin Sinlao

Martin Julio Sinlao is currently enrolled in the SF State Scholars Blended Program and is pursuing a Bachelor’s and Master’s in Theater Arts. His interest in theatre was fostered by his nine years with the Sinag-tala Filipino Theater and Performing Arts Association, where he became a resident choreographer. Martin served in the US Army for seven years as a radiology specialist. While stationed in Vicenza, Italy, he found a renewed passion for performance through the Soldiers’ Theatre and the Betty Tezza Danza Movement Academy. Martin hopes his studies at SFSU will empower him to expand his perspective, cultivate environments of connection, and continue to inform his abilities as an actor and dancer.
