I am a bilingual, bicultural, queer, interdisciplinary educator, choreographer, poet, activist, dancer, artist, and scholar with a passion for inspiring artistic collaboration across the Américas and a commitment to social justice. I have been a Hemispheric Encounters fellow at Concordia University for creating video performance work around accessibility that connects artists with disabilities in Mexico City and Montreal. I have been faculty at Mills College, University of Texas El Paso, la Universidad de las Américas Puebla, and at Mexico City's National Institute of Fine Arts (INBAL), and have taught at UC Berkeley, la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, and la Universidad Central del Ecuador. I have lived extensively in Mexico City and Quito, and have a PhD in Performance Studies from UC Berkeley, an MFA in Dance from Tisch School of the Arts NYU and two Fulbrights (Mexico, 2018, postdoctoral; Ecuador, 2007).
