New COVID-19 protocols for LCA events (including Graduation celebration)

Plead read the following updated COVID-19 policy for LCA events, including School of Theatre and Dance Graduation Celebration.

COVID-19 Vaccination Guidelines:

Masks are required to be worn at all times in the venue and inside all San Francisco State University Buildings.

Until further notice, audience members who attend indoor SF State events will be required to provide either:

  1. Original, copy, or digital COVID-19 vaccine record issued by state, local, foreign governmental jurisdictions, or an approved private company showing full vaccination

    or

  2. A negative test result within 48 hours of the event; the COVID-19 test must be taken within one day (for antigen test) or two days (for PCR tests).

Please note that self-administered antigen tests are not acceptable unless there is third-party verification. A written self-attestation or declaration of vaccination status is also not acceptable as a form of proof.

Individuals are considered Fully Vaccinated after meeting the requirements of either A or B below:

A. mRNA Vaccine (e.g., Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna)

Completion of an mRNA vaccine primary series, and are not yet eligible for any booster dose; or

Completion of an mRNA vaccine primary series, and receipt of all booster dose(s) of an Approved Vaccine for which an individual is eligible per current CDC recommendations.

Or

B. Janssen Vaccine (Johnson & Johnson)

Completion of a Janssen vaccine primary dose, and are not yet eligible for any booster dose; or

Completion of a Janssen vaccine primary dose, and receipt of all booster dose(s) of an Approved Vaccine for which an individual is eligible per current CDC recommendations.

Boosters must be received within 30 days of eligibility; however, an individual will be considered fully vaccinated once they receive all CDC recommended boosters for which they are eligible.

For adults, this means receiving an additional dose of Pfizer, Moderna, or Johnson and Johnson five months after receiving a second dose of Moderna vaccine or Pfizer vaccine, or two months after receiving a single dose of Johnson and Johnson. For adolescents age 12 to 17, this means receiving a third dose of the Pfizer vaccine six months after receiving their second Pfizer dose.
