We're Hiring! Assistant Professor in Dance
The School of Theatre & Dance is proud to announce we're hiring for the position of Assistant Professor in Dance.
We seek a colleague who is a dance artist or artist-scholar whose teaching and research interests include Dance Practice and Dance Studies informed by Latinx/e or Africanist dance traditions. The primary assignments will include studio-based courses in dance technique, dance making, as well as dance theory. We are especially interested in qualified candidates with a demonstrated commitment -- through their research, teaching, and service – to re-envisioning and innovating a dance curriculum in response to the diversity of our student population and the excellence of our academic community.
We are seeking applicants with experience in and/or demonstrated commitment to teaching and working effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and members of underrepresented groups. This is part of a cohort hire focused on Black and Latinx/e student success. We are looking for teacher/scholars who have an established commitment to teaching, research and/or service in and with the Black and Latinx/e community.
